Another special day handing over a beautiful property in Goodwood that was entrusted to us to sell by the Du Plessis family. Mrs Du Plessis had so much house pride and the purchasers were blown away by the beautiful state in which the home was handed over along with all the extras she gifted them. Today we would like to thank the Harris family siblings for giving us the opportunity to sell their family home. After their grandparents were forced out of District Six, their grandfather built their Hazendal home and later this Newfields home was built by their dad 49years ago. After living in Hazendal with their grandparents they eventually moved into their newly-built Newfields home at the age of 2yrs and 6 months. This was an emotional day for the Harris and Hallet siblings and we wish them all the very best with the next phase in their lives. Having their family home for 45 years, 4 siblings later and the first homeowners to move into their Elfindale home which Mr & Mrs Greeff paid R7000 rand for at the time, it was time to say goodbye. After losing their mom just 2 years ago and having to pack up their parents belongings and having to make the decision to sell their home wasn’t easy. The Schaffers property that belonged to the family for just over 52 years changed hands. The family had been forced out of District Six and this is where they ended up settling. After being evicted from District Six, this was the family’s first purchase and they stayed here for 49 years. 5 children were raised in this home and yesterday 3 of the 5 came to say their goodbyes. It was fascinating and at the same time quite emotional to hear the childhood memories made at this address. Mr Busch was 6 years old when they were forced out of District Six and moved into Bishop Lavis. He tells at the time there was no front door or back door, neither any lights in their house. After 68 years we were called in to sell the family home. It’s never an easy process and we feel privileged to walk these journeys with our clients. Thank you Busch family for trusting us. Mr Faure and his family lived in this home for 43 and half years and he worked many jobs to pay up his bond in just 3 years…bond free since then! So many memories in this home..2 kids and 2 grandchildren later. We thank the Faure family for trusting us with the sale of their home and pray God’s continuous blessings over them.
